About the author

Spencer Smart was born in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk in 1966. After he hit a career dead-end in a multinational bank, he entered the computer industry where he has been a technical author, creative designer and general marketing and web guru. Spencer Smart has written articles for motoring magazines and is also the writer and publisher of a series of pop music quiz eBooks. He lives in West Cornwall with his family.

Spencer’s first novel NO REGRETS introduced Pieter van Es, a long-serving detective who quit the busy Amsterdam Divisie Crime Unit for a new life in peaceful Penzance. ‘A STATEMENT OF INTENT,’ the second book in the ‘Pieter van Es’ series is scheduled to be released July 2014.
